Description
Perhaps Oscar Wilde should have resisted a bit more than he did. Or at least kept it to himself. When accused of being a sodomite he chose to slap the accuser with a charge of slander. Forced to defend themselves, the only way to combat the slander charge was to prove the accusation correct.
The truth was, Oscar was a sodomite, and barely hid the fact, despite the draconian laws against such things during his time. He came out of prison more or less a Catholic, and quite ready to resist temptation for what little remained of his life.
Today the world is a different place, and there isn’t the need to be so quiet about temptations one fails to resist.
So live a little. For Oscar’s sake.
